Wanderer II : An End Of Season Bargain
There are the inevitable "end of season bargains" around at the moment (October 2017). I thought this grand 130 year old boat was terrific value when I saw her on the Classic Yacht Brokerage website for a reduced price of £15,000 last month. Then she turned up on eBay a couple of weeks ago, a sure sign that the owner is open to offers, although not, perhaps, as low as the £3,700 the 24 bids on eBay ramped up to. Located in Chichester, she's certainly in an accessible location. I've dug out a more up to date photograph from 2009 of her under sail than that with the listings. Notice that the previously blue hull is now white.
