Vizanya : Mushroom Grower's Boat
Vizanya was built JA Linfield. His family buisness was AG Linfield Ltd which was, in the early 1960s, acknowledged as the largest grower of mushrooms in Europe. I have traced his ownership of the boat through to 1980. I believe David Stacey also owned her for many years.

The photograph of Vizanya shows her unique feature; a cockpit at the stern rather than amidships. In 2016, the previous time she was for sale, the brokerage wrote, “This is a very rare aft cockpit nine ton Hillyard. There were very few built with this cockpit arrangement and we believe only one other in this size. The very large, comfortable and deep cockpit is superb for coastal cruising, offering a lot of space to move around and sit in comfort. The main cabin is still very similar to the centre cockpit version, although there are two excellent pilot berths forward of the saloon which is not seen in other Hillyards. An interesting yacht which has been in long ownership”
Three years on Vizanya is again up for sale this time with Foxes of Ipswich.
