The Advert from 1927
Veronique : An 'Unknown' Albert Strange Designed Boat
A search through digitised old Australian newspapers by HBA webmaster Martin Hansen has found an Albert Strange designed boat, previously 'unknown' to the Albert Strange Association. The boat, built in 1926, is called Veronique, and is a substantial yacht of length 32 feet, with 6 foot headroom, and described as a “splendid sea boat, ideal fast, comfortable cruiser”. The advertisement is from The Sydney Morning Herald dated Saturday 10th September 1927, the striking feature being that this is only one year on from the build date. More information is sought, particularly evidence to confirm that Albert Strange was the designer.
