Trimley Maid And Michael Walden
It was my very great pleasure to meet Michael Walden and to spend time aboard his much loved boat, Trimley Maid, in 2011. For many years Michael had been one of the mainstays of the Hillyard Owners Association, becoming its Commodore. He always led from the front and took Trimley Maid across the Atlantic in 1993. Many other voyages took in most parts of the UK and the near continent.
In The Canaries, 2016-2017
In his last few years, Michael was very concerned to find a suitable new owner for Trimley Maid. He need not have worried for Grant Hesk has proved a capable and caring new owner. Grant is to be found on the Hillyard Owners' FaceBook page. The above photograph, from 2016, taken by Grant, shows Trimley Maid in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands.
