A Connection With Albert Strange
Originally called Remembrance, by 1934 this boat had been renamed Stormcock*. The Lloyd's Registers suggest that this is a most interesting boat. She's in my 1924 and 1927 registers as being designed by HJ Stuffing who seems to have been a key advocate of Harrison Butler's early designs. He had Memory built in 1912 to the Memory design of 1911 and by 1917 was corresponding with Harrison Butler via the pages of Yachting Monthly. Albert Strange joined in. She's one of our pink star Harrison Butlers; The name of a Harrison Butler boat that we know once existed but have not heard news of for many, many years. We'd like to reconnect. So, if you spot or own a Harrison Butler yacht called Stormcock* or that used to be called Stormcock* or Remebrance, please get in touch.
