Spindrift : For Sale, July 2018
Penarth, near Cardiff, was my home port between 2013 and 2014. One of the interesting wooden boats in the marina was Spindrift. At first I thought she was an Albert Strange designed boat, for there are similarities, but she's actually a 'Cooper 6 tonner' designed by Major AM Bellingham. Even so, a very pretty boat with lovely lines. She's currently (July 2018) up For Sale for £10,000 with the BoatShed brokerage.
I know of nine of these 'Cooper 6 tonner' yachts; Anadyomene (ex Catherine III), Elka (ex Gannet), Fae (ex Fée), Hilo, Islay, Mazilda, Philippa (ex Claudia), and Rilla (ex Follow the Sun).
