Sandmartin : Back In The UK
In 2014 David Andrews died suddenly leaving his wife Pat and their 46 foot ferro-cement hulled Alan Buchanan Sandmartin marooned in Rochefort, on the Biscay coast of France. Friends Bev and Douglas came to the rescue, arranging a lift out and an insurance survey ahead of sailing the boat pretty much non-stop back to Glasson Dock, Lancashire, England. There the boat was put up for auction.
