Sally

Much Admired, Pretty Boat
Named after his long suffering wife, Sally, is a 'new build' constructed by Brent Smith in 1994 to Albert Strange's Wenda design of 1899. The design was modified in the construction details (ply lapstrake, different rig, different cabin) and also in the location of the centerboard. These are covered in detail in the July 1998 edition of Wooden Boat magazine. Brent runs a Canoe-Yawl website which features many photographs and yarns about building and sailing Sally. See the links section, at the foot of the page.
