Pleiades : 55 Years With Original Owner
The Boatshed brokerage listed Pleiades, or Alcide as I think she may have been called then, at their Plymouth office in 2008. They thought her so close to her original state as to be 'a museum piece'. This was mostly due to being with her first owner for 55 years, the latter 18 of these in a shed. She didn't sell and so in 2010 was given a 'make-over' in which all paintwork and varnish was removed and re-applied. The engine was professionally refurbished. A cockpit cover and new interior bunk cushions were made. As Pleiades, she has since been sold.
