Matanga
Matanga was purchased in 2013 by Paul & Brenda Bidmead who
had previously owned Myfanwy, built to HB's Bogle design.

A New Old Boat
Paul Bidmead has been in touch with the Association to hand on a collection of photographs and documents connected with his seven year custodianship of Myfanwy between 2008 and 2013. He was tempted away from Harrison Butler designed boats by Matanga, a classic that had been completely rebuilt at a cost of around £80,000. Paul paid a tiny fraction of this to secure what was, effectively, a new wooden boat at a bargain price.
Paul's still a member of the Association, and still a fan of Harrison Butler boats. He frequently attends the Plymouth Classic Boat Rally, and Falmouth Classics and so do say "Hello" should you spot him at either event in 2016.
