A Chance Find In Lloyd's
I came across the above entry by chance in my 1939 Lloyd's Register of Yachts; a steel Auxiluary Ketch with Albert Strange attributed as the designer. The boat did not appear on the list of those known to the Albert Strange Association. Further investigation revealed that she was in my Registers between 1927 and 1937 but without any designer given credit. Furthermore, she does not reappear after the Second World War. Thus it would seem that only in the 1939 Register is she credited to Albert Strange, which perhaps explains her obscurity.
The hunt is now on to secure further information about Marileha, a fairly substantial vessel but one that I suspect did not survive the war.
