An Unexpected Find in The Lloyd's Registers
A determined search through the 1923 Lloyd's Register, looking for boats built in Hong Kong, resulted in a couple of unexpected South American finds. Ipora was the first, built at the River Plate Yacht Club in 1920. Previously unknown to the Association, she is again listed in the register for 1924, but not that for 1927. Further investigation revealed that her custodian, Luis Omar Landivar, went on to become president of the Argentinian Feberation of Yachting in 1931.
