Hightime : Enthusiastic New Owner
Ben McMinn has been in touch with a wealth of information about his Alan Buchanan designed 4 ton yacht, Hightime. Fully restored in 2007 this classic yacht featured in the June 2019 edition of Practical Boat Owner. She also appears in the August 2019 edition of Classic Boat. It would seem that almost fifty boats were built to this Wind Elf design between 1946 and 1965 at various yards. There reputation soared when Peter Poland and Anthony Brunner sailed one, Josa II, across the Atlantic in 1968. If you are out and about in the Solent this summer, keep an eye out for Hightime.
