Girouette : Stunning Restoration by Nick Gates & Co
Girouette has been owned by a French family for over fifty years, although many of those have been spent under restoration. In part the time delay has been brought about by the original boat yard charged with the restoration going bankrupt. However Nick Gates & Co have brought the job to a most successful conclusion, and the boat is a beautiful 'show-boat' of what Nick's company can achieve.
There is information about Brigadier Ivor Douglas Brown on the internet who seems to have bought Girouette following his retirement in 1948. Possibly he sold her in 1951. He died in 1953.
