Fiordiligy : Three Peaks Challenge
Under the command of Ed Wilson, Fiordiligy entered the Three Peaks Race in 2011. Starting out from Barmouth, the participants stop at Caernarfon to climb Snowdon, Whitehaven for Scafell Pike, and Fort William for Ben Nevis. Unfavourable weather necessitated the use of Fiordiligy's engine on the first leg, at which point the race was forfit, but the experience was still considered worthwhile, with Fiordiligy completing the circuit and all three peaks being scaled.
More recently Stuart Wilson has taken on Fiordiligy and is living aboard her; “The best thing I've done for fifty years”.
Incidentally, it was John Lilly who built Fiordiligy's smart wheelhouse in 1975.
