Facet

Facet : Steel Buchanan, Dutch Built
Facet was commissioned by Ch vd Bosch who requested several modifications to Alan Buchanan's Brabant design with a view to making her more robust to handle the crossing of the world's major oceans. The hull is steel but the superstructure is of wood, primarily to keep the weight down. The cockpit is smaller than Buchanan drew it, and many of the deck fittings were designed and built by Bosch himself, all of which makes Facet a unique yacht.
More recently, and for many years, Facet was the boat of Amsterdam harbour master WV de Koenen.
Other Brabant designed boats on this website include Pipedream, Vuilbaard, Roosevaer, Foxy Lady and Suri.
