Chencharu, a Harrison Butler Dream of Arden class yacht

News of Chencharu
In a recent posting on the Harrison Butler FaceBook page, Brad Tinus posted a couple of up-to-date photographs of Chencharu with the comment “Ready to Launch”; He's clearly looked after his boat for she looks in much the same condition as in the photograph above, taken in 2009. Chencharu's home port is now on Gedney Island, five miles west of Everett, Washington.
Two Pacific Crossings With Thirty Years In Between
In 2009 Brad Tinius decided to take his Harrison Butler designed yacht on a 2,600 mile solo voyage across the Pacific from the USA to Hawaii. Three decades before he'd sailed the same boat to America from Australia. The local press loved the story, still available via the link below.
Originally called Chencharu, she was renamed Pegasus of Penang between 1964 and 1969.
