Calyx of Ipswich : Stylish Modern Livery
Constructed to the Lloyd's 100A1 standard, this smart boat is built to Laurent Giles' Peter Duck design. I came across Calyx in May 2014 when she turned up in Ipswich Marina, my home port at the time. Alas I didn't meet the owner. I was quite taken with the distinctive and bold colours of her exterior. She also looked to be all set up for serious passage making with radar, self steering at the stern, and heavy duty rungs built into the rudder to asist climbing back on board. I Googled her at the time but found nothing. I've since managed to find out that she was originally built as Bethulie Too. As that name is Lloyd's Registered, all else followed.
