Bolduster 2018

Bolduster For Sale, March 2020
An eagle eyed reader has emailed to say that they noticed that Bolduster is up For Sale on the Apollo Duck website. The asking price is a most reasonable £3000. See the link section below.
New Paint Job, 2018
Bolduster was put up for sale, October 2017, and was 'Under Offer' one week later. The new custodian is George Challinor, a big fan of Harrison Butler's designs and he tells me that he's now “living the dream”. Her hull is now a striking blue and she's been moved to Canvey Island on the River Thames where George is planning to sort out a few maintenance issues over the winter.

Shipshape Looking Z4, A Joy To Behold
Boldister's previous custodian, Stephen Payne, got in touch with the HBA in responce to a prompt (in the way of a note placed in the cockpit from Richard Farmer, the owner of Vindilis) to contact the association and give us an update on Bolduster.
In 2015 he wrote; "My name is Stephen Payne and I have owned Bolduster for about the last ten years. During that time she has been kept on a staging in Southwold harbour. During my ownership she has been continually improved and maintained e.g. new sheathed decks, running rigging, reconditioned engine etc. She has been stripped back to the planks (no work required) and re-painted plus some additions to the interior e.g. chart table”.
Steve also sent in the above photograph taken Spring 2015. It clearly shows that, like Cobber, Bolduster is a Z4 with the coachroof extended to the hull sides to give extra space below. Of her early owners Stephen has found out that the Rev Bulstrode was a former naval Chaplin and then Rector of Framlington, Suffolk and that Norman Clarkson was the General Manager of Yachting Monthly.
