Avocet
(ex Wee Bess)

Avocet, a Memorey class Harrison Butler yacht

She's a Looker !
Originally called Wee Bess, I am reliably informed that the change of name to Avocet took place over forty years ago. Confusingly, in an eBay listing from 2009 she's listed as Wee Bess and pictured with her hull rubbed down back to the wood and with all deck fittings removed. A half done restoration.
The above picture of Avocet from a happier time in the boat's life was kindly supplied by Paul Leinthall-Cowman at Classic Yacht Brokerage . Paul is now the custodian of Avocet, which is undergoing a major restoration.
